Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown... 2006 - March 2, 2013 He was the most wonderful, loving, happy, friendly & well-behaved dog. I miss him so much. Bryan woke up around 4AM to take him outside this morning. He usually sleeps in bed with us. He wasn't in our bed- he apparently left our bed sometime during the night (which he never does). He was downstairs in the dining room. I'll never forget him. He was my pride and joy and he was more than just a dog. He was family. He was like my son. Taag was adopted from Northampton Borough Animal Shelter years before their 2007 outbreak of Bartonella which caused the city council to vote 6-0 to close the animal shelter. 2000-2007 We miss you and love you.... Hunter was truly meant to be with us. Through a series of events, we were both at the right place at the right time. He had been found by a Fed Ex driver who was trying to find him a home after being unsuccessful in finding his owner. I happened to be home when she delivered a package to me and I saw Hunter in her truck. We had an instant bond and it was the best delivery Fed Ex ever made. Our hearts are broken at the loss of our "little old man". February 2010 Heinze will be missed very much. February 2010. |
